The Infinite is a system under E-Z access used to retrieve radiology, dietary, admitting, and laboratory results. This system is made by Keane. It is the data warehouse which is designed to provide convenient and rapid access to patient information that comes from various applications such as Patient Accounting, Pharmacy, Order Communications, and Laboratory systems. The data warehouse collects both financial and clinical information, and stores the data by patient encounter in a common access repository. This information is then available on a real-time, online basis. The E-Z access system also has CPOE and clinical documentation as a component which will be implemented in the future. The clinical documentation comprises of Flowsheets, Intake and Output Problem Management, Care Plans Nursing Kardex, and Discharge Planning.
The Order Communicating (OC) system is also used to order dietary, radiology, and laboratory requests. This system interfaces with the Infinite. The OC system is still on a trial phase and is not yet implemented in the facility. There is ongoing training on this system.
PICIS health record system is used in the operating room to document, to promote patient safety, and to make rapid decisions. This system was implemented five years ago.
